Starting at $153:

After setting up and naming the Petite Ourse, we had the idea of giving it a big sister. The Grande Ourse is a very large yurt for 8 people located high up in the Gollé forest and bordered by a stream that sings in the spring!

Like all of the Gollé Goulu’s ecolodges, the Grande Ourse is lit with solar energy and heated by a wood stove and a furnace that ensure warmth and comfort in cold weather. This large tent has a fully equipped kitchen: propane stove, dishes and utensils are available on-site so you don’t have to travel with a heavy load. The bright colours of the yurt, its ash and red pine furniture made by a woodworker make the experience cozy and full of class! Equipped with three queen-size beds, oversized mattresses and a futon, the Grande Ourse can sleep up to eight people (and maybe a princess and a pea). When lying on the upper mattress of the bunk bed, you’ll feel like you are touching the stars. Maybe you’ll see the Big Dipper constellation through its skylight (unless you’re looking for a pea hidden under the mattress!).

Outside, on the large balcony, you can sit on one of the benches to admire the forest during all four seasons, or cross the long walkway to get to the toilet and shower (in use in the warm season).
